This painting had been on and off my easel for months. Each time I'd start working on it I'd think, "hello spaceboy". I'd think about the connotations to forward-facing exploration - the future as the home of possibility. Then I'd notice all the covers and influences David Bowie had throughout my music collection. As soon as I painted a single line along the left edge of the face, I could see it. The painting was off the easel for several weeks. One morning I heard the news that Bowie had died. I signed the painting and decided it was finished. The original was purchased by StageOne of NYC in 2018.

Verified Archival Materials Used
The Art Storefronts Organization has verified that this Art Seller has published information about the archival materials used to create their products in an effort to provide transparency to buyers.
Description from Merchant:
All canvas used is heavy cotton duck canvas, stretched in-studio onto wood stretchers. The gesso used is of high quality, and each painting receives a minimum of three coats to ensure a stable painting surface. Masonite and MDF board are used for panels, and are sealed with the same care as canvases. Archival materials are used throughout the process.
Found object works contain a variety of media. In all cases, I've used a two-part resin to seal objects and protect the surface. All work made to last for decades to come.
