A burst of color, texture and you! The Radiant Wall Mirror is made to be functional art that combines different visual elements into a useful piece of home decor. An 11" opening for the included glass mirror is surrounded by 12 wedge-shaped tiles. The tiles vary in size and are made up of a variety of recycled, reclaimed and painted scraps of wood, plastic and fabric pieces. This includes plywood, vinyl graphics, pegboard, and MDF board. This is not a production piece - some edges are uneven and some surfaces show wear and old paint. It is my intention to make others of these and use as little new material as possible.
A wired hanging ring on the back allows for the piece to hang in any orientation you choose. A 12" square mirror is held in place, but replaceable if needed. The piece is 30" at its widest point, 18" at its narrowest.
I love the exuberance of this mirror! In my paintings I have explored radial compositions - emanating forms that come out of a central point. This design captures a similar movement, bursting outward with visual energy.
